Artwork revealed for Alien anthology

The second-most anticipated hi-def SF release has some artwork...

The Alien films hit hi-def, and these may be the covers...

If you pop over to the link below, you can feast your sweaty eyes (???) on what is likely to be the final release cover packaging for the Alien Anthology this autumn.

The images were released by 'a member of a Danish home theater forum' according to Blu-Ray.com. If you check out all the pictures, you'll see that the entire box set in the most special of the special editions is accessible only by pulling it out of an 'alien' egg!

Well, it's certainly not going to fit neatly on your DVD shelf, but this is lovely-looking artwork. Of course Fox had to have a new go at a complete-release set of the Alien franchise, but quite how they are going to improve on the extras in The Alien Quadrilogy is difficult to fathom. The documentaries that accompanied each of the four Alien movies to date at the time of release put Quadrilogy into the highest ranks of quality-laden DVD releases. Additionally, I'm not aware that Dan O'Bannon contributed anything new to this new release (particularly given his hatred of the AVP spin-offs), so perhaps the original extras will be included, remastered for HD or not.
