Jay Wilson responds with profanity to Diablo creators critical comments.

The project lead of Diablo 1 and 2, David Brevik, voiced his “mixed feelings” over the development of Diablo 3 yesterday, in an interview with incgamers.com. Now, Jay Wilson, game director of Diablo 3 stated on fellow Blizzard employee Chris Haga's Facebook post “F**k that loser”, regarding Brevik's comments.
In the interview, Brevik stated “I have very mixed emotions about it [Diablo 3]...I am sad because people are outraged and, you know, some of the decisions they have made are not the decisions I would make and there have been changes in philosophy and that hasn't gone over very well...I am also a little happy, which I hate to say, it shows that the people that were involved in Diablo really did matter, and so I am happy that it has come to light that how talented that group was and how unique and special that group was.”
Chris Haga technical artist on Diablo 3 later posted a link to the article on his private Facebook page, stating “Suddenly I feel like I was just thrown under a bus.” This was followed by a litany of comments from various employees at Blizzard South who also worked on the project, critisizing Brevik's interview and his work since Diablo 2.
Gameplay programmer Roger Hughstone said “Ya the tone of it irritates me and i'm not sure why.” Followed by Jay Wilsons outburst “F**k that loser”. This was followed by technical artist Jill Harrington sarcasticly remarking “Oh, incgamers paragons of objectivity”, then “Also can I 'like' Jays comment more than once please?”
Prior to joining Blizzard in 2007, Jay worked on a number of RTS titles at Relic Entertainment including Warhammer: 40,000: Dawn of War, Company of Heroes and Homeworld 2. During the interview Brevik was asked “Do you think they brought the wrong people in? As we understand, Jay Wilson, for example, his background was RTS. From our point of view they misunderstood what kept people playing, the type of loot drops, which has been a big issue.” To which Brevik replied “They made some decisions with the loot system that were very different than the way that we did it in Diablo 2 and I think that obviously the community has been upset with some of the decisions they made...It seems odd that they have not really responded in a quick fashion to some of these things I think they are very well aware of the problems at the point and are trying to fix some of the this stuff. It's a shame that they had to learn some of these painful lessons.”
Despite becoming the fastest selling PC title of all time, Diablo 3 has been dubbed “biggest disappointment ever” by floods of users on Blizzard's battle.net forums, and currently holds a 3.8 Metacrtic User Score. Wilson's comments have created a backlash online: the coversation in its entirety holds the top rated spot on Reddit's Gaming board. Reddit user Scrimps commented “The funny part is Brevik's comments echo what a majority of the community feels. So by saying 'F**k that loser', I can't help but feel it's directed at the Blizzard customers who also had complaints. It also makes it crystal clear, that giving Blizzard any type of feedback is a complete waste of time. They will do what they want, when they want, and do not value interest in their games outside of handing over $60.”
