Tony Stark is back; and quite literally, as this picture shows...

For those of you who tune in regularly, you may remember that - back in January - we reported that filming of Iron Man 3 was due to begin in May. Well, here we are, June 6th 2012, and it would appear that Marvel are ready to show us...

Having been leaked earlier today, the first 'exclusive' picture of Iron Man 3 shows the back of (one would imagine) Tony Stark, aka Robert Downey Jr, and an accompaniment of his finest Iron Man suits. Sure, it's not glamorous...but it does at least confirm that it's in production.

Of course, one has to chuckle at the timely arrival of this reveal. As Marvel's The Avenger's (reviewed, by true comic book enthusiasts, here) reaches the end of its fifth week in cinemas and viewing figures finally begin to fall, it would be incredulous to suggest that this was a sly attempt to give the Iron-man-featuring Avengers one last pick-me-up. After all, Marvel wouldn't succumb to such childish tactics, would they?
