The editors and staff of Shadowlocked are extremely pleased to announce that your friendly neighborhood geek site has officially joined the sponsor list of the burgeoning Telluride Horror Show, set in the beautiful mountain town of Telluride, Colorado.

Entering its second year, the Telluride Horror Show film festival was founded by Ted Wilson and focuses, as you might expect, on the diverse genre of horror. Whether they be campy B-grade schlock or disturbingly terrifying gorefests, all forms of horror cinema will be highlighted at the Horror Show, which will take place October 14-16 at the historic Sheridan Opera House and Nugget Theater in downtown Telluride.

This year's edition will The official 2011 Telluride Horror Show posterinclude over 20 feature-length films, as well as over 20 short films. Thus far, confirmed films include Deadball, Helldriver, Some Guy who Kills People, Chillerama, the classic Bride of Frankenstein, the original 1960 version of Little Shop of Horrors starring Jack Nicholson, and an encore presentation of Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, to name but a few.

Shadowlocked and the Telluride Horror Show are also excited to announce that Shadowlocked's U.S. Editor Gabriel Ruzin will attend as one of the two Guest Hosts of the festival, along with Brad McHargue of Mile High Cinema and the Denver A.V. Club. Gabriel and Brad will introduce screenings, perform interviews and Q&As with visiting filmmakers, and quite possibly spend much of the weekend arguing over whether Paranormal Activity was an effective horror film, in addition to other miscellaneous events and horror-related duties.

Many more film and event announcements are upcoming and the official schedule will be released in early October. Currently, a dwindling number of Early Bird 3-Day Passes are available for $60, which allows one access to the Opening Night filmmaker reception and all three days of films. Once the Early Bird tickets are gone, the price will rise to $78. To buy tickets, find information on discounted lodging rates, and to view confirmed films' trailers, visit the official website here or follow the festival's Facebook page. Shadowlocked and the staff at the Telluride Horror Show hope to see you there!
