50/50 Trailer looks 90% good

With a low chance of Wackness ....

A new trailer just released for the comedy-drama 50/50 highlights some of the major themes of the film: (since it's Joseph Gordon-Levitt) a young man's struggle with life-threatening illness and resultant emo-scored alienation; (since it's Seth Rogen) how one could use that life-threatening illness to pick up chicks and score weed.
From director Jonathan Levine, best known for 2008's The Wackness, 50/50 is a buddy comedy with deep overtones, or undertones; but it actually looks pretty good. Gordon-Levitt and Rogen play best friends dealing with one's cancer diagnosis; Anna Kendrick (Twilight, Up in the Air) co-stars as Gordon-Levitt's therapist, and Anjelica Huston plays his mom. The trailer below shows more of the comedy in the drama.
All previews for the film rate it as one of the most hotly-anticipated remaining 2011 releases. 50/50 is due out in theaters on September 30, 2011.
