A different look on Mr. Potter; a Brits realisation of Walmart; and the power of the 'bearded one'? Oh yes, we've got you covered...

5 Youtube Experiences to brighten your week

If you want to visit the USA - but haven’t - and fancy seeing Harry Potter injected with some teenage banter then this edition is for you. But maybe that isn’t enough, you crave more still; perhaps the aforementioned delights accompanied by a joyous whale, mystical-combat beard and a classically hilarious bail will sate your hunger. Yes? I thought so.

Here are the clips:

5. Alex and Liam do Walmart

I’ve never been to the USA, and therefore haven’t had the pleasure to frequent Walmart. But I’ve always wondered what it would be like; would the legendary mystique of a shop that claims to sell everything actually stand-up to scrutiny? Well, apparently it does.

Alex and Liam are rather charismatic personalities; they explore the wonders of the American behemoth with humour, which makes for happily entertaining viewing. If you ever wanted a clear exemplification of the sheer abundance of things you can buy at Walmart, look no further.

4. Harry Potter meets The Inbetweeners

So here, quite simply, is an unofficial trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. What makes this so special you ask? Well, the clever editing leads you to believe that the film has more in common with The Inbetweeners than J.K. Rowling’s books. Josh Powell’s “Big Beat Repeat” is the driving force behind the trailer, lending the heavily-edited footage a certain irksome charm – of which I greatly approve.

If you fancy a quick laugh at some of the funnier bits of The Half-Blood Prince, or if you’re curios as to what the film could have been like as a ‘comedy’, then look no further than this clip.

3. The Beard Master

Its Python-esque - which on its own should validate its inclusion in this list – it’s completely nonsensical and it features a fair amount of vomit. But don’t let the last bit dissuade you, this really is a gem.

2. Get out of the way Guedes!

This clip rapidly gained cult status in Portugal, before sweeping across Europe and the rest of the world.

Contained within the next 49 seconds is one majestically inexorable bail. I do not know the name of the hero of this clip, or what led him to speed so quickly with such little skill on the wrong side of a country road. But what I do know is that his accident is hilarious, and that his “pre-pain sound” is a piece of comic genius. Enjoy.

1. Saving a Humpback Whale

This clip perfectly advertises the great work of The Great Whale Conservancy group, whose efforts have saved countless endangered whales. Furthermore, it exemplifies the human race’s ability for good, to co-exist with Mother Nature and avoid unnecessary deaths.

If that wasn’t enough to motivate you to have a watch, then maybe I should mention that the whale saved in this clip puts on a truly magical display to show its gratitude. The whale jumps, flips and splashes for half of the clip – events that are rare as a single event, let alone as a continuous piece of entertainment.
