Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 trailer goes live

NEWS - MOVIE NEWS

The Deathly Hallows Part 2 finally hits the web and, from what we can see, it's going to send the Potter franchise out with a bang...

A still from Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2

It's been an emotional 10 years for the Harry Potter cohort. After beating thousands of other hopefuls to land the roles of Harry, Ron and Hermione in the movie adaptations for the much loved Potter series, Daniel (Radcliffe), Emma (Watson) and Rupert (Grint) were cast head first into the spotlight; gaining critical acclaim and global adoration thanks to the fantasy franchise.

As the years went by, audiences worldwide developed an emotional tie to the trio, encapsulated by the story in which they were cast whilst feeling humbled by the experience of watching the stars grow up in front of them. Unlike any franchise before it, the Potter series established an intrinsic mix of fantasy and family; one that gave the action lovers amongst us the thrills that we so craved, while providing enough substance and depth to appeal to a general - and subsequently dominant - audience.

As we approach the final outing of Harry and his Hogwardian classmates, public interest is at an all time high, thanks no doubt to the recent release of The Deathly Hallows Part 1 on DVD and Blu-ray (a review of which can be found here). So, to keep interest at its feverish pitch, Warner Bros. have begun to 'leak' set stills and various trailers for the concluding adventure to the franchise, and, by the looks of things, it would appear that Potter is set to go out with a bang:

Harry Potter has meant so much to so many people, and its success has ensured a British foothold within Hollywood's rather fickle industry for the past 10 years. I'm really not ready to let go. I have loved both the books and the movies, and I wish it would go on forever. That being said, the final battle at Hogwarts looks like it's going to be amazing! Good report, mate!

Looking forward to this one. I've been a fan more than half of my life and I couldn't imagine what it would be like to NOT have something to look forward to each year.

Totally agree Will...it's going to be weird not having a Harry Potter release forthcoming. Oh well, I hear there was a "Harry Trotter " around...or how about a Ron Weasley: Without Harry franchise haha
