New Street Fighter 3DS pictures and video
| NEWS - VIDEOGAME NEWS |
I know gaming is getting more accessible, but gaming without the need for you to be playing? Now that's just silly...

Ask any gamer what their top three games of the fighting genre are, and you will ultimately hear the name Street Fighter appearing in their list. For any true fighting gamer, there are really only three titles worthy of your true fighting admiration: Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibur and Street Fighter. So, when we here at Shadowlocked heard that Capcom were planning on releasing a 3D version of its franchise on the Nintendo 3DS, we knew that we had to get our hands on one.
However, whether you are a die-hard fan - or merely a passing gamer with a fleeting interest - Super Street Fighter IV 3D has plenty of exciting new features to help draw you to the dark side. First, there is the obvious pleasure that comes from playing the game in eye-opening 3D. As films such as Avatar, Tron Legacy and Toy Story 3 have shown, 3D is high in demand at the moment, bringing a new edge to their mediums and an unparalleled viewing experience. Imagine this in the palm of your hands.
Secondly, the Nintendo 3DS is rapidly becoming the 'must-have' gaming accessory of 2011 and, with interest at feverish levels - and more and more titles pledging firm intent to develop 3DS adaptations of their best titles - the 3DS may well become the first, 21st Century handheld worthy of competing against its platform brethren. Furthermore, the consoles WiFi connectivity is being touted as a key selling-point of the console; and Capcom are promising that Street Fighter will be the only title to "fully utilize the capabilities of Nintendo’s online network at launch".
Now, if you are still not totally convinced, why not take a look at this video and see how you feel after viewing:
When I first watched this video, I will admit I was somewhat shell-shocked. The technology of both the game and the console seems inconcievable; but, after a 'Kevin' from the GAME store in Birmingham confirmed it, I have since been salivating over both.
So, to keep you ticking over until its release, Capcom have been nice enough to grant us some new, in-game images of its latest release. Whatever way you look at it, 2011 is one hell of a year for gaming; and, with Mortal Kombat 9 and Super Street Fighter IV 3D set for release in the next two months - plus a new Soul Calibur release penned for the end of the year - it would appear that the fighting genre is back to its best.
