More Avengers casting rumors

What do they have in common, besides a potential role in the Whedonverse?
The latest Avengers movie casting rumors spring from the interview Samuel L. Jackson did on the Jimmy Fallon show last night. Mr. Jackson will be playing Nick Fury (hopefully without his list-topping wig); he revealed that they are currently casting his 'sidekick'. 'Sidekick' is in sarcastic quotation marks there, because in the comic book series Nick Fury didn't have a distinct sidekick.
Rumors about who the character might actually be vary from 'The Wasp' to 'The Countess' to a mad invention of Joss Whedon's own creation. The Hollywood Reporter has named four actresses in competition to be Fury's sidekick, whomever that character may turn out to be. Drumroll, please: Morena Baccarin, the super-hot alien leader from TV's V; Jessica Lucas, the super-hot girl from two Aaron Spelling reboots (90210 and Melrose Place); Cobie Smulders, the super-hot comedienne from HIMYM; and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, the super-hot chick from Scott Pilgrim. Trying to think of what they have in common...
Morena Baccarin is considered a front-runner now, as she has been in Whedon's Firefly and Serenity, and we know and love Joss Whedon for re-casting talented actors. It never hurts to be super-hot, either.
