Another day, another updated 1970's tv series...

Another update in the Charlie's Angels TV reboot: Marcos Siega has been selected to direct the pilot episode for ABC. Siega's got credibility with cult TV watchers, having directed several episodes of Dexter, Veronica Mars, True Blood, and most recently, The Vampire Diaries.
Entertainment Weekly confirms that Siega has completed the deal to direct the pilot, but has not included information on whether he will direct subsequent episodes of the show. Charlie's Angels will bring back Drew Barrymore and Nancy Juvonen as executive producers, as they were on both the 2000 and 2003 movie versions. ABC has also finalized casting of the angels themselves. Minka Kelly, of (500) Days of Summer and The Roommate, will play Marisa, Annie Ilonzeh will play Kate, and Rachael Taylor of Transformers fame will play Abby, the loveable con artist.
