Call of Duty: Black Ops First Strike trailer

Activision prepares to milk that cash-cow one more time...

Call of Duty: Black Ops - First Strike

With little over a week until Call of Duty: Black Ops releases its first add-on pack - subsequently named First Strike - Treyarch and Activision have released a final teaser trailer that they say will "set your pulse racing and give you a thorough taste of what to expect" - yeah, further extortion of a brand name. Personally, I fail to see how spending 1200 Microsoft Points - or £10.20 in its currency equivalent - is anything but a giant corporation's attempt to milk their franchise for every available penny. However, bitterness aside, the information is as follows.

First Strike contains five rather imaginative new maps - including a new zombie level known as "Ascension" - each of which has its own foreign setting and politically-incorrect undertone. Furthermore, the developers have assured us that, while the levels are new creations and offer a new angle of gameplay for the fans, they will still harness a degree of familiarity with which the Call of Duty faithful will be able to relate to. Located in Germany, Antarctica, China and Russia (all of the power states then) gamers can expect to dip, duck and zip-line their way across each of the new maps, with each map possessing its own brand of individuality.

So, without further ado, sit back and "enjoy" the latest trailer to hit the web:

As for the cost... well, I think that will come down to personal preference. One man's extortionate rip-off may be another man's affordable luxury; but rest assured, First Strike will inevitably sell well in the long run.

With the terrible hacking of MW2, I hope that Activision takes their time unlike what happen with Black Ops and fixes the hacks and bugs when they release Modern Warfare 3 http://mwarfare3.com. Has anyone heard anything new about the game? I could only find information on it from that page.
