If it wasn't for nepotism, I'd have no 'isms' at all...

Will Smith is in talks with Sony Pictures to develop Annie as a star vehicle for his daughter, 10-year-old Willow Smith. Will Smith recently hit a winner when he worked on development of The Karate Kid for son Jaden, after getting Jaden his start in The Pursuit of Happyness. Willow previously acted with her dad in I Am Legend and was the voice of Young Gloria with her mom in Madagascar 2; but is probably best-known for her single "Whip My Hair", which topped the charts last year.

On one hand, this could be seen as a cultural travesty; on the other, Smith's kids seem to actually have talent. Nepotism can be acceptable if there's talent there: whether you believe in genetics or environment. It's when there's a complete lack of talent that it really becomes intolerable (Tori Spelling, anyone?)

Remaking another 80's movie for his kids may not be a bad idea, particularly as Annie is best known for its fantastic musical numbers, and Jay-Z is already in talks to work on the music for Annie, having worked with Willow previously on "Whip My Hair."
