A pictorial peek at Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

A promising picture-set gives us hope that On Stranger Tides may actually be a decent sequel to the 2003 original...
Having absolutely hated both sequels to 2003's excellent Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl even more than the Matrix sequels, I must say that these new publicity pics from Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides make the new sequel look like a damn sight more fun than those movies were, high-grossing or not.
Some of these pics are already in the ether, but USA Today add one of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) up to his britches with former love Angelica (Penelope Cruz), and a new one of our anti-hero getting his customary hospitality from the local authorities. Yahoo Movies bring us four new pics, including a meet with the notorious Blackbeard (Ian McShane).
Hearing that Depp say that POTC4 is like "a fresh, clean slate" is, I think, an acknowledgement that everyone involved realises how poor the previous two movies were - a good sign for a return to 2003 form for On Stranger Tides.
