A savage and strange journey through ignorance and sorcery...
Below is the latest hi-res quad poster for Season Of The Witch, where Nicolas Cage plays a 14th-century crusader surrounded by the Black Death; the blame for the rampant plague falls to accused sorceress Claire Foy, whom Cage and chum Ron Perlman (no stranger to the middle ages, not least from his superb turn as Salvatore in Jean-Jacques Annaud's 1986 medieval whodunit The Name Of The Rose) are ordered to escort to an Abbey, where monks must undertake a rite to end the pestilence.
The fate of the charmed prisoner becomes a hot issue of contention between priest Stephen Campbell Moore, Knight Ulrich Thomsen and petty crook Stephen Graham, who join our heroes and the hot-headed youngster Robert Sheehan on a dangerous journey that looks like a cross between Lord Of The Rings and Clint Eastwood's The Gauntlet (1977)...
