James Denton and Christina Hendricks feature in a new adaptation of the popular Superman comics incarnation...

Grant Morrison’s brilliant All-Star Superman will be getting the DC Animation treatment. The story, which was released as a monthly title, has been collected in two trade paperbacks, and is as follows:
“In All-Star Superman, the Man of Steel rescues an ill-fated mission to the Sun (sabotaged by Lex Luthor) and, in the process, is oversaturated by radiation – which accelerates his cell degeneration. Sensing even he will be unable to cheat death, Superman ventures into new realms – finally revealing his secret to Lois, confronting Lex Luthor’s perspective of humanity, and attempting to ensure Earth’s safety before his own impending end with one final, selfless act.”
Voice talent includes James Denton (Desperate Housewives) as Superman, Christina Hendricks (Mad Men, Firefly) as Lois Lane, Anthony LaPaglia (Without a Trace) as Lex Luthor, and Ed Asner (Up) as Perry White, with Angel's Alexis Denisof and Futurama's John Di Maggio in supporting roles. The film will be released on February 22, 2011, and will be distributed by Warner Home Video as a Blu-ray Combo Pack and 2-Disc Special Edition DVD for $24.98, as well as single disc DVD for $19.98. The 2-Disc Special Edition DVD will include 1½ hours of special features, whereas the 2-Disc Blu-Ray will include 2½ hours of features.
