A new take on the Scrooge character promises something very special from Doctor Who this Christmas...
Following the preview of the Doctor Who Christmas special 'A Christmas Carol' on the BBC's Children In Need on 19th November this year, Auntie Beeb has released a trailer for the Dickens-inspired tale which will air on Christmas day. Steven Moffat's story finds the Doctor (Matt Smith) influencing the life of Scrooge-like figure Kazran Sardick (Michael Gambon)...
Moffat himself comments: "It's all your favourite Christmas movies at once, in an hour, with monsters. And the Doctor. And a honeymoon."
There are some spoilers available on other internet posts as to what the Doctor is up to, apparently playing all three 'Ghosts of Christmas' to the Gambon character, but we've decided in this case that it's a bit shabby to open your presents before Christmas....
