World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles international trailer
| NEWS - MOVIE NEWS |
Here they come again...

Inspired by the 1942 'Battle Of Los Angeles incident', also known as 'The Great Los Angeles Air Raid', a rumoured air-barrage battle supposed to have taken place in L.A. three months after the advent of Pearl Harbor, 2011's science-fiction outing finds the enemy rather more threatening even than the Axis forces.
The film's UK title is currently Battle: Los Angeles, though it's rumoured to be titled World Invasion: Battle LA outside of the US as well, with the US title apparently remaining World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles.
South African filmmaker Jonathan Liebesman (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning) leads a cast that includes Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez and Bridget Moynahan in this tale of modern-day extraterrestrial military incursion. It's not 100% clear who has the Star Trek-style force fields from this new international trailer, but I'm kind of guessing that it's going to be 'them' rather than us.
If you're wondering if it's a tad suspicious that the Brothers Strause have pre-empted this new tale of interplanetary conflict with their new release Skyline, Battle producer Sony Pictures are wondering the same thing. Sony are rumoured to be looking into the possibility of legal action against the VFX-based directors, who worked on Battle and are apparently believed by Sony to have possibly used resources from this higher-budget production in their own opus. The brothers deny this, protesting that "Any claims of impropriety are completely baseless", and that Sony were maneuvering to manipulate the release date of Skyline in favour of that for Battlefield.
World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles is released in the US on March 11th 2011, and in the UK as Battle: Los Angeles on the 25th of March 2011.
