Mission Impossible 4 titled + Cruise doesn't rule out Top Gun 2

The fourquel abandons the numbers game...

The huge press banner behind Mission Impossible IV director Brad Bird, seated with actors Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton and producer Bryan Burk, said it all:
Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol
So now we know. And the protocol of naming movies without numbers after a certain point seems pretty valid to me, because after 3 (or III), sequels start sounding inadvertantly associated with straight-to-disc knock-offs.
The MI4 press conference was held in Dubai because the world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa, is there, and Mr. Cruise will be scaling its heights in the third sequel: "I’ll be spending many days, many hours on the side of this building, I can’t give you details, but I will be up there."
Cruise was also persuaded to comment on his participation in the Top Gun sequel that Tony Scott wants to get off the ground. When asked if he'd consider reprising his role as Maverick (I must check the phone book to turn off that 'made up name' alarm in my head) from the 1986 movie, Cruise responded: "Those things are a long way off. It takes a long time to figure out stuff."
Which normally means I read it same place you did, wouldn't rule out the paycheck, can't see it happening.
MI4 is doing extensive location work in Dubai, has already shot scenes in Prague and will soon move on to further photography in Vancouver and Moscow (wouldn't it be amazing if they shot a few movies in Vancouver that were actually set in Vancouver?).
