Don't worry, they'll get you in the end...

You may have noticed a curious lack of advance reviews for the highly-anticipated Alien Anthology Blu-ray set. By now we should have been ravening even more to see all that xenomorph action in high-definition, sharpened by a series of screeners sent out to the higher climes of the geekoblog sphere.

Truth is, as with so many disc releases, the Anthology Blu-ray did not get to the production line in time to really anticipate next Tuesday's release, and in fact has only just hit the warehouses from the production facility. This could mean that hasty reviews are imminent over the weekend, though anyone not familiar with the previous (and quite superb) Alien Anthology DVD version released in the mid-noughties is going to have to cancel a lot of other plans in order to comprehensively browse the extras, many of which show up in the new hi-def release, and are longer than the Alien franchise movies themselves, and among the best supplemental disc material ever produced.

In the meantime you can sharpen your nerves by killing a few facehuggers over at the Facehuggers Survival Guide promotional flash-game. Lose badly and you get to hear Hudson from Aliens whining like a biatch, too. Game over, indeed...
