Glee's Dianna Agron apologises for sexy shoot
| NEWS - TV NEWS |
Mom-friendly show crosses the line, so it's damage-limitation time...
Glee actress Dianna Agron is in penitent mood regarding her sexy photo-session for lad-mag GQ. The pics of her in the mag are unrepresentative, the actress claims (and with Photoshop on the job, one can guarantee as much of any glossy photo in any glossy mag, I should think).
Agron plays Quinn in Glee, a high school cheerleader. The GQ affair began shortly after the Britney episode aired, when Agron and fellow Glee actress Lea Michele (Rachel) were asked to play up their characters for the cover shoot. The association with minimal underwear, ass-grabbing and the whole general spring-breakness of the cover is a bit of a killer for the show's relatively squeaky-clean, PC ethos.
In her blog Agron said: "...in perpetuating the type of images that evoke these kind of emotions, I am sorry. And if your eight-year-old has a copy of our GQ cover in hand, again I am sorry...I have been a pretty tame and easy-going girl my whole life. Nobody is perfect, and these photos do not represent who I am...These aren't photos I am going to frame and put on my desk, but hey, nor are any of the photos I take for magazines."
It has to be said that Lea Michele is far more 'on show' in this cover than the one actually apologising. Michele has made no comment, and the smile on Cory Monteith's face seems comment enough, really.
