Darren Aronofsky almost at handshake for Wolverine 2

Domestic bliss comes first for the director and star Hugh Jackman...
The deal for Darren Aronofsky to helm the sequel to the (in my opinion, pretty awful) 2009 Wolverine spin-off is now so close to completion that apparently arrangements are being made for portions of the film to be shot in New York so as not to inconvenience NYC residents Hugh Jackman and Aronofsky himself. Both have families based in the Big Apple.
The sequel, written by Usual Suspects and Valkyrie scribe Christopher McQuarrie, will shoot its NYC segments in March of 2011 before moving on to Japan, where the majority of principal photography will take place.
