The long running feud between these two has been the basis of one of the best role playing series of all time, a series that has marked its 20th birthday this year. The graphical adventure game follows the likeable, if not slightly peculiar pirate Guybrush Threepwood, taking us through a multitude of locations with three objectives to complete; become the most notorious pirate in the Caribbean, defeat the plans of the evil undead pirate LeChuck and win the heart of Governor Elaine Marley.

A fan since the start, this series offers a degree of enjoyment unlike any other. Whether it is winning a sword fight with witty retorts, upsetting a midget guard with the aim of making him cry before escaping or simply working out how to escape from a ship with nothing more than a skeleton arm and talking skull, Monkey Island has it all.

For me, paying £24.99 for all five games would be a total bargain; however, those clever guys over at Stream have gone and done it again, throwing us another offensively good offer that you would have to be a fool to ignore. For a limited time, Steam is offering the click-and-point series for just £3.50, a saving of 86%.
