Phoenix/Casey admit "I'm Still Here" a hoax

Bogus doc fooled some...

In an interview with the New York Times, actor and director Casey Affleck has admitted (much as we suspected) that his bizarre and lemming-like behaviour in Casey's 'documentary' I'm Still Here was staged.
Despite telling the NYT that "I never intended to trick anybody", Affleck lauds Phoenix's turn in the rap-to-rags doc as "the performance of his career".
The brothers in law (Phoenix's sister Summer is married to Affleck) have pulled off a pretty convincing hoax, given that it was set up as far back as February of last year with Phoenix's legendary David Letterman appearance.
The question is, at what point does satire become what it is satirising? Because this is still a highly-talented actor wasting years of his life on a prank.
