You lucky people. You do feel lucky, dontcha, punks...?

Here's the latest pond-crossing trailer for Robert Rodriguez's retro tough-out, with Danny Trejo taking his first lead role as 70s-style hard man Machete (no relation, apparently, to the role he played in Spy Kids, as that Machete had a different surname).

There's a fair bit of re-use of footage from the faux trailer that featured as in Grindhouse (2007) and the disc release of Planet Terror (2007), but for my money the original trailer was even more fun. The full-length movie, which will be previewed in September at the 67th Venice International Film Festival, with a US release two days later, also features Steven Seagal, Rose McGowan, Michelle Rodriguez, Jeff Fahey and Cheech Marin. Such as it is, the story centres on a hired hitman (Trejo) who's double-crossed by the client and seeks explosive revenge.
