Die Hard 5 on the slate?

NEWS - MOVIE NEWS

But will they let Bruce Willis say it this time...?

Bruce Willis - returning for Die Hard 5, it seems

THR has the scoop that Skip Woods (Hitman screenwriter) is in negotiations with Fox to bring John McClane back for another Die Hard outing in the wake of Die Hard 4.0 actually not being that bad, and Bruce Willis not really being dead. And only the latter was ever going to delay Die Hard 5, let's face it.

Besides Hitman, Woods' credits include X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the impending A-Team and the semi-X-Men reunion Swordfish, which was also his original screenplay. Bruce Willis's pre-DH5 commitments include action adventure Red and then videogame>movie outing Kane And Lynch (one can't imagine he has much left to do on Stallone's The Expendables). Unstoppable Fox executive Alex Young will be producing.

This is one franchise with a low suck-rate, and even Renny Harlin's semi-notorious Die Hard 2 is still a great deal of fun to watch, even if it is arguably the dumbest of the sequels.
