Russell Crowe on the warpath in new Robin Hood poster
| NEWS - MOVIE NEWS |
He's riding towards us, brandishing a sword, and it's probably the wrong time to ask for an autograph...

Here's a new poster for Ridley Scott's May 13th release Robin Hood, which finds the titular character (played by Russell Crowe) very much in Gladiator mode. Let's hope your sword doesn't stick in your scabbard if you see this coming towards you....

Crowe is the latest actor to occupy a role that can't be far behind 007 for the number of actors that have taken it on. In Scott's take on the tale, it seems that Robin himself is not native to Nottingham, but travels there High Plains Drifter-style to take on the despotic Sheriff of Nottingham and fall in love, naturally, with the Lady Marion (Cate Blanchett, who you can bet will provide the least demure interpretation of the role in film history).
