Splinter Cell: Conviction freezes out 360

NEWS - VIDEOGAME NEWS

Day-one patch means XBox Live users getting unexpectedly fragged out...

More the kind of crash 'Splinter Cell: Conviction' fans were hoping to achieve

Splinter Cell: Conviction is showing an early retail bug which freezes the game on the second level and at certain other times, as Ubisoft investigate the issue.

There is apparently a temporary fix involving going to the XBox 360 dashboard>System Settings>Memory, highlighting your hard drive, pressing 'Y' for device options and choosing to clear the system cache. The issue seems to have been brought about by a day-one patch for Conviction, and affects players using the game through an XBox Live connection. Presumably a patch to fix the patch is racking up Ubisoft overtime hours as we write.
